Plantein Filo Kiev


Serves 2 


1 x Packet Plantein Plant Based Garlic Kievs 

6 Sheets Filo Pastry 

Butter or Olive Oil (for brushing)

1 ½ tsp Sesame + Poppyseeds (mixed) 


1 Cup Parsley (finely chopped) 

1 Cup Rocket 

1 Tomato (sliced) 

½ Red Onion (diced) 

2 Tbsp Hemp Seeds


1. Heat the oven to 180⁰C and line a baking tray with parchment paper. 

2. Lay out a sheet of filo pastry, brush with olive oil or butter and lay a second sheet on top. Brush again with olive oil. Repeat again. Place one kiev 3/4 from the bottom of the filo sheet stack and gently fold, scoop and roll. Tuck both loose ends underneath to form a neat parcel. Brush the outside with your choice of butter or olive oil and place on the prepared baking tray with the seam-side down. Repeat this process for the remaining kiev. 

3. Sprinkle the parcels with a mixture of poppy and sesame seeds. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are crisp and golden. 

4. Meanwhile, combine all salad ingredients and drizzle over your favourite dressing. Serve your kievs warm out of the oven with a side of salad. Enjoy!
